We believe in doing a lot with a little, and using every inch of what we can. Any scrap we do have goes to compost for our personal gardens.

Note from the Founder, Riah
My first baby was born in 2016, transforming everything I knew about caring for new parents. I quickly took a doula training and started attending births, easily witnessing that folks were not cared for properly in their postpartum time. With a lifelong love of food and culture, I delve into postpartum traditions from all over the world and started cooking with healing in mind. This business (once called Nourish the Mama) exists, at its root, to remind y’all that you should feed new parents: a lot.
This food quickly took hold for folks who love to eat— or want to eat more— vegetables that are globally inspired and rooted in care and intention. I was feeding healthcare patients and workers, people who had experienced a loss, and even non-parents who simply have busy lives and want to eat good. Nourished Folks is place for you to send food to yourself and your people. We often get grateful comments sent to us to the tune of “you were the only food that someone sent me when I had a baby”. While that makes me sad, we are here for exactly that. Make your people feel cared for and give over some relief. We are here for you when you are ready. -Riah
