Your food is a surprise each week, contributing to a rest in knowing that
whatever it is: it will be good.

The Menu

Our meal subscription menus are all created just a few days before they’re cooked and ready for pickup. While we are absolutely focused on making sure the variety of food you receive from us is different from week to week, we first look in the fridge and ask, “what will we make next week with a little bit of what we’ve got in the fridge alongside a new order of vegetables and such?”

We have virtually no food waste and are super creative in the kitchen in order to make this business work and provide deliciously fresh, “home”-cooked food.

How We Approach Food

Our food is made by hands, inspired by the world, and can offer up both heart and practical medicine for our bodies.

Our approach to everyday eating is simple: eat food made from scratch, get most of your vitamins through vegetables, and let food make your body feel good. What that means for everyone is not so simple, because our bodies are all so magically different.

What works for you may not work for someone else. Your body will respond to food and drink differently, and you cannot expect to get the same “results” from eating plans that even people who look exactly like you do.

We don’t talk much about ‘health’, ‘calories’, ‘macros’, ‘carbs’ and so on because we believe that those words have been hijacked by the diet and health industry, and completely disregard how unique our bodies are from one another. I will say that we do use ‘protein’ because the word ‘meat’ can be pretty harsh. LOL

If this isn’t your thing, that’s completely fine! We want you to do what feels good on your body, and we one thousand percent know that this approach is not for everyone. That is why Nourished Folks has focused more on simply eating food that is made by hands, inspired by the world, and can offer up both heart and practical medicine for our bodies.

Our Approach to Business

We will always make it right and know that you deserve as a person who spends their hard-earned money with us, but we will make mistakes sometimes. Thanks for the grace!

Life is, well you know: life. And while we could succumb to the societal pressure to make this business about making as many people happy as possible, we would in turn be miserable. We do what works for us, provides longevity for the business (who is owner operator ran), and also lives out a part of its mission by really just being in the game of life.

This business is run by people in their thirties with kids and older parents. Life will happen quick and we like to be honest about the fact that our family comes absolutely first, which means that as passionate as we are about feeding y’all: you come second sometimes.

We just don’t want you to put corporate expectations on us tiny guys.
