BIRTH PREPARATION
It is my belief that clear expectations of the process of birth and postpartum can help prevent trauma and make us feel safe and confident in the birth room. Unable to swing the full package or not so sure that you’re even interested in having a doula in the room for your birth? This is your way to go.
Three Hour Virtual Meeting
WRITE YOUR BIRTH PLAN
We can chat about your dream birth - what you’d love it to look like and how to work with your care providers to achieve that. Not so sure what you even want it to look like? Let me ask you the questions that can help.
THE STUFF THEY DON’T TELL YOU
My time in the birth room, as a doula, has given me tons of insight on how hospitals work, the nursing staff, procedures, decisions and overall care. I want to share these things with you so that your expectations are accurate.
HOSPITAL POLICIES
Evidence and birthing classes can tell you one thing and the atmosphere of the actual birth can be another. Let’s talk about how your care team is going to respond to these things.
COMFORT MEASURES
The main reason i like to meet in person is so that you can be informed of various ways to be more comfortable during the duration of labor. We will probably laugh a little, too.
POSTPARTUM PLANNING
Let’s talk about milk, the days when you get home, your rings of support, staying fed and hydrated. “They” forget to tell you what a huge transitional time this is. Let’s set you up for success.
