When we say it, we mean this: It is healing. It feels good to cook and it feels good to eat. We love eating fresh food, made from scratch and from things grown in and on good grounds. We do not mean organic because sometimes that isn’t feasible, though we cook with it when we can. We hope for it to be sustainable. We do not count carbs, calories or macros and we don’t diet or talk about healthy that much. We eat food to both fuel and comfort our bodies. We make it with love and admiration and mindful prayer because we want it to bring contentment. We want this good food to just feel good.

And we want you to send good food to your friends. We want to cook it for you, make it easy and land it on doorsteps. Someone in your life, right now, could stand to have food taken off of their to-do list today. Especially folks who’re navigating life with a new baby, in sickness or death, and particularly hard days.

Food is a celebration. If we eat it with that kind of care and feed it to our people, maybe we can start discovering what true love and being the village really is.
